Senior Software Developer
Location: Redwood Shores, CA
JOB DESCRIPTION: Develop financial mathematics
and business applications for trading, price aggregation and
portfolio allocation for developer and marketer of trading
software and systems. Design and develop computer programs
to process independent real-time, multi-asset financial trading
platform. Design and implement computer algorithms for automated
electronic trading symtems. Specifically, design and program
software for trading, settlement, and clearing in financial
transactions using VC++, VB, Java, and SQL. Use object oriented
methods to analyze, model, and design software processes.
Program data mining applications and analyze financial trading
and market data. Program, maintain and optimize the company’s
GUI, Fortex BackOffice software, MS-SQL and Access database.
Provide tie-2 technical support for trading system. Analyze
and optimize system and network to enhance system capacity
and stability. May be assigned to various projects utilizing
skills.
REQUIREMENTS: Position requires the following:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree
or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Finance or related
field and 5 years of experience in the job offered, Software
Engineer, Analyst or Programmer or related position.
Experience and/or education must include:
Educational background and/or experience must include:
1. Developing large scale client/server software;
2. Coding in C++;
3. VC++, Win32, COM, TCP/IP and socket programming;
4. SQL database management and tuning;
5. Network management; and
6. Experience in a financial institution working on microstructure of financial transactions and trading.
